Ted Jansen | President & Chief Executive Officer
Ted Jansen has spent fifteen years immersed in the world of luxury services marketing and e-commerce with the majority of that time in senior management at some of America’s most respected and successful companies. All the experience and insight gained from his unique background is put to work leading the Inertia team toward its goal of leveraging technology and wine industry knowhow to provide clients with a high margin, high velocity distribution system for their wines.

Prior to joining Inertia, Ted served as Senior Vice President of Product and Retail at Expedia, one of the world’s top on-line travel services companies. Prior to Expedia, Jansen was Vice President at the Walt Disney Company where he oversaw online product management and marketing and built Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online from the ground up. Ted received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA from the University of Miami. Ted is also a Navy Veteran. He resides in Northern California with his wife and two young boys.

 

Paul Roberti | Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

As Inertia’s Chief Financial Officer, Roberti leads the financial, legal and human resource functions at the company. His extensive finance and administration background with large and small, public and private, and emerging companies provides him with the experience and perspective to help Inertia maintain and extend its leadership as a market maker and technology innovator within the wine industry.
 
Prior to joining Inertia, Paul was CFO at mBlox, the world’s largest mobile transaction network. In that position he oversaw all finance, human resources, and risk management matters, while playing the key role in raising over $70 million in equity and debt to finance growth, launch new markets, and build scalable platforms and infrastructure. Prior to mBlox, Roberti served as Vice President of Finance / CFO of several Vodafone operating companies in Egypt, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
 
Paul lives in Petaluma with his wife, Alice, and his three children.
 

Andrea Johnston | Vice President, Operations

With a background in technology, global health and entrepreneurship, Andrea joined Inertia in 2005 and has worked in a variety of management roles ranging from Client Services to Channel Development and now Program Operations. Andrea leads the operational functions of Inertia's Direct-to-Trade and Marketplace Services programs including compliance, logistics, and program management. With 15 years of experience in both non-profit and private companies, Andrea brings a unique background focused on operations, product development, partner management, and business development.

 

Prior to joining Inertia, Andrea worked in sales operations for VERITAS Software, directed hardware and software grants and distribution systems for PowerUP, founded and directed the Global Action Network (an online health resource), and has consulted for several software companies analyzing market opportunities and supply chain integrations.  Andrea received her BA from Vassar College, her MPH from Columbia University, and her MBA from USC's Marshall School of Business.

 

Kristi Taaffe | Vice President, Marketing

As the Director of Marketing for Smith & Hawken, Kristi spent five years modernizing and accelerating their Direct-to-Consumer sales, helping make Smith & Hawken one of the leading outdoor living brands in America. Prior to this, she led marketing for Wine.com, and other early e-commerce players like PreviewTravel.com (now Travelocity). Most recently, Kristi oversaw the Consumer Relationship Marketing division at Foster's Wine Estates, where she led direct sales and marketing for nine Foster’s brands, including Beringer Vineyards, Chateau St. Jean and Etude Wines, among others. Kristi lives in Marin County with her husband and two children.

 

Mitch Schwartz | Vice President, Sales

Mitch Schwartz knows sales. For more than 25 years, Mitch has practiced the art of sales and marketing, with such companies as Gallo, The Wine Group, and Constellation Brands. Whether it be from the distributor’s, merchant’s or producer’s perspective, Mitch has participated in all levels of sales – on the streets, managing sales staffs, leading multi-million dollar sales forces, even teaching college-level sales and marketing.

 

A U.S. Army veteran and Master of Business Administration, Mitch brings to Inertia the experience and big picture thinking that results in innovation and sales success.
